Vendor Payment Timing Calculator (Days Payable Outstanding / DPO)

A simple calculator that estimates how many days of direct costs are currently sitting in Accounts Payable (A/P).

This calculator estimates vendor payment timing using current Accounts Payable (A/P) and direct costs over the last 12 months. It calculates Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), not generic bill aging.

The total amount your business currently owes vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, or other creditors for purchases or services already received.

If unpaid vendor, supplier, and subcontractor bills total $40,000, enter $40,000.

Direct costs usually means the costs tied directly to delivering the work or product, such as materials, subcontractors, job labor, inventory purchases, freight, packaging, or other costs that rise when sales rise. Do not include general overhead like office rent unless it is directly tied to delivery.

If materials, subcontractors, direct labor, freight, and similar delivery costs totaled $480,000 over the last 12 months, enter $480,000.
